Of Land and Tree is a research-driven photographic and material project focusing on the use and distribution of Palestinian land, the structures of occupation, and the changing cultural and political face of agriculture. Rather than a form of activism, Of Land and Tree is a curated body of evidence, existing as much as a legitimate resource for advocacy as it does a creative documentary project. By accessing government documents, UN records, archival materials and maps, and conducting in person research and photographic work, OLAT provides a detailed account of the physical and cultural landscape in Palestine today. This project's purpose is to both record and report on the depth and complexity of Israel’s system of occupation and the erosion of Palestinian heritage and identity.
